I am thrilled that two of the cello duets from Inspiration Cello! Book 1 have been selected for the ABRSM’s new 2024 cello syllabus! Lindy Hop Rock is part of the Grade 2 cello syllabus and Smugglers’ Return is included in Grade 3.
These pieces are both Teacher/Pupil duets – meaning cello candidates can go into their exam and play their first piece with their teacher.
Both duets use easy specialist string effects: Lindy Hop Rock has a harmonic and some foot tapping, and Smugglers’ Return uses open string double stopping and col lengo.
